Lessons of Thanksgiving

It's been awhile since I've blogged, and I'm clearly way overdue.   It's been a great Thanksgiving weekend, and I learned quite a bit.    Here are a few of the lessons I got:

When my little girl is told she is going to run a "parent-teacher-student" meeting, she will get to sit in the big chair and run the meeting.
When hosting Thanksgiving, there's a lot to do.   I guess I could have guessed that, but the first hand experience was more of a way of ascertaining this.
Brining a turkey apparently makes it more moist. (And everyone seemed to love it)...  Kudos to Tracy on a successful bird.   Of course, I don't eat turkey.

One of the big items on our checklist is to write 25 blog entries for the year. Looks like we have nine so far (10, if this one makes it up). Guess we'd better get cracking!

When brainstorming about topics to write about, I thought about something like the "30 Days of Gratitude" meme I've seen on Facebook and Twitter. In fact, I started to do it on Twitter but forgot after one day. Oops. I don't want to leave it unfinished, so I will do it here. But I'll do the whole month at once, just so I'm sure to get it done. I'll try to keep them short and sweet.

I'm thankful for:

1. Parents who live close by and are happy to share their home when we lose power.
