The A-Team

I've been at my current company for around 3 years now, which is a pretty long time for me to be with one company.  One of the things that I've been part of is introducing this company to using Agile development, which involves creating teams of individual contributors to work on a particular piece of the software product.
The team that I've been most actively involved with is a group called "The A-Team".   At a recent release celebration, each team was asked to share a presentation about what their team did.   Our group elected to do a video, which is what I'm sharing below: was fun to make with my team, and I thought worth sharing. :)

Earlier this week I went to my company's annual Casino Night, which is our belated holiday celebration. This is the first time I've attended this event (this was their third year). Unfortunately, Tracy wasn't able to join me, but we thought I should go anyway.

Paradigm shift

Well, I think I've explained to almost everyone that my work life is much better now than it was with my last job. Part of it is that many of the difficulties around my dad's cancer are behind me now... and I was lucky enough to get out of what was really a bad situation.

It hit me today, in a moment that was unexpected. Sadly, my Aunt Kathy passed away yesterday afternoon after a long battle with cancer. I spoke to my cousin last night and want to make sure that I attend the funeral. So I sent an email out to a few co-workers, just letting them know that would be taking a personal day sometime soon, but I'm not quite sure when.
